IMO DTaino's breakfast plate is the best deal on a meal downtown. It's available any time and includes your choice of meat, two eggs your way, and four pieces of their fresh, delicious buttered toast for only $4. I go with ham and fried eggs, but you can even get the eggs western style, scrambled with peppers and onions for no additional charge. They should really be charging more for this, so if you're paying with a card, be sure to let them know you'd like to leave a tip!
This place really has a lot of great food to offer. I'd also recommend trying the strong Puerto Rican coffee. -

Growing up in South Florida.. It's been a while since I had some good Latin Cuisine, so I wanted to try this spot out..
I'm going to get straight to the review!
Parking sucks.. The hassle of finding parking was one reason why this spot wasn't worth it, but now on to the food..
I got a Egg, Cheese, and Turkey sandwich with butter & mayo
The turkey was seasoned nicely, and everything came out fresh and hot.. Bread was also toasted (pressed) just like in South Florida!
I also requested a Cafe Con Leche (staple of South Florida) but I wasn't impressed..
Lastly I got several guava pastries "To-Go"which I really wasn't a fan of because they put powder sugar on top and the guava was too sweet like it was artificial..
I don't know if my expectations were too high going to this spot.. But honestly I won't be back..
The Egg sandwich was the best thing that I got, all the other items I wasn't impressed with.. Nothing really separated this spot from other breakfast spots, and then add the parking situation?!? Yikes -

The first Puerto Rican Bakery in OKC? Yes, you read that correctly. I am so happy that there's this little piece of culture in this city. Oklahoma City lacks diversity and I can really see D Taino Bakery making a huge difference here. I'm sorry to hear that you had to relocate here from Puerto Rico due to Hurricane Maria.
Pros: The owner, staff, and even the customers are all so welcoming. The music and the videos playing really gave it that island feel. I love how they make sure you know about all the ingredients in their products before purchase. D Taino Bakery goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your food as well as your visit.
Cons: Nothing, and absolutely nothing at all.
My favorite is the tripleta with a Malta.
I made sure I brought guava pastries home to cry over because they're SO GOOD. -
